Caring for children is a challenging task. Our PALS course strives to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for sick and injured children who present to you in many different clinical settings. Whether you are a nurse, doctor, respiratory therapist, PA, ARNP, paramedic, or clinician in a labor and delivery setting, this class will give you the tools you need to succeed.
While treating children are stressful, our classes are not. We work hard to give you the best training in the most relaxed environment, and have always encouraged a team approach when caring for children. Whether it is a common cold, fever, seizure, airway problem or life-threatening emergency, this American Heart Association program meets those challenges. Ask any local nurse, paramedic or doctor and they will agree: our classes are the best, most informative courses they have ever taken, and they leave knowing they have the tools to get the job done.
The information contained in the following links, plus your PALS textbook, will be all of the supplemental material you will need to study and prepare for participation in our PALS initial course or recertification. You can sign up for the class online or contact our office to reserve a spot in class. Books are available through our office, or feel free to bring your own. Your success depends on completing all of the precourse work, so put some time into studying! We are available to answer your questions and encourage you to call prior to class if you have any concerns.

You must bring a copy of the completed precourse assessment on the first day of class. Successful completion of this pretest will help you to identify the areas in which you may need improvement!
